EMERGING LEADERS PROGRAMME

The Emerging Leaders Program offers two Phases and is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to progress in the tennis industry and much more:

 

  • Gain experience in coaching and event delivery
  • Develop your leadership skills
  • Networking and career progression opportunities
  • Give back to the local tennis community

Eligibility

Open to anyone 15 years+ involved at their clubs who are looking to learn more about Tennis and progress further in their careers through both practical learning on the court and off the court through workshops and club engagement.

Program Outline

Phase 1) Introduction to the industry

Phase 1 will aim to introduce candidates to various areas of the industry through short courses & online sessions.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Participants to complete a fully funded Trainee Coaching Course
  • Online officiating program and practical
  • Tournament director training
  • Club or regional project delivery utilising skills developed
  • Present project back to the RA end of the year

CRITERIA TO JOIN PROGRAM

  • Blue Card and national police check
  • Current Affiliation with a tennis club either as a member, committee, coach or player
  • A willingness to progress more in the Tennis Industry

Phase 2) Specialise in the industry

Phase 2 is designed and aimed to provide an array of opportunities through face-to-face workshops, education and practical experience with a framework focused on personal growth, industry learnings and professional development.

  • Structured around two pivotal program components, primary and secondary, components can be viewed here.

CRITERIA TO JOIN PROGRAM

  • Must be an Emerging Leader Phase 1 Graduate or have completed the Trainee Coaching Course
  • Must be involved with a Tennis Queensland Affiliated Venue
  • Must agree to program Terms & Conditions
